She regularly advises on equity capital market transactions such as initial public offerings, rights issues and private placements as well as mergers and acquisitions, mandatory general offer, foreign investments and joint ventures. Being proficient in Mandarin, she also advises on deals originating from China.

Wai Teng has been involved in the following matters:

• advised on the listing of various companies in different industries, including the listing of a leading global adhesives manufacturer on the Main Market, a renowned snacks company headquartered in Singapore on the Main Board of Hong Kong Stock Exchange and reputable construction companies on both Main Market and ACE Market.

• acting as underwriters’ counsel in relation to the listing of a renowned real estate developer focused on property development in the United Kingdom and Australia, a leading credit reporting agency and an integrated logistics operator headquartered in Malaysia on the Main Market.

• advised on the disposal of controlling interest in a Singapore public company listed on the Mainboard of the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited by a wholly-owned subsidiary of a public-listed media company in Malaysia.

• advised a renowned real estate developer in Malaysia on the renounceable rights issue of Islamic redeemable convertible preference shares.

• advised a Malaysian chemical manufacturer in the negotiation and formation of a joint venture with a leading specialty products company headquartered in Taiwan.
