Practice Focus

Li Sze’s areas of practice include equity capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and foreign investments. She also advises on regulatory compliance as well as general corporate advisory matters.

 

She has advised on corporate finance and equity capital markets transactions such as initial public offerings, rights issues and private placements.

 

She has acted for private equity funds, public listed and private companies across various industries on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions. She has also worked with start-up companies and venture capital firms on early stage financing.

Experience & Credentials

• Advised the parent company of Tealive, one of Malaysia’s largest made-to-order beverage providers, on its divestment of 30% stake in the business to private equity firm, Creador.

• Advised Navis Capital Partners on the subscription of redeemable convertible notes in relation to its investment in a Malaysia-based group of companies specialising in scaffolding supply and scaffolding contracting services.

• Advised a Japanese private equity fund on its acquisition of 100% stake in a plastic rigid bottle producer and contract manufacturer of home care and personal products and its subsidiaries in Malaysia.

• Advised in the IPOs of companies in the manufacturing, construction and IT sectors for listing on Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad.

• Acted as Malaysian counsel to a bus bodywork manufacturer based in Malaysia, for its IPO on the Main Board of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited.
