Anson’s litigation practice focuses on corporate and commercial disputes, which includes insolvency and restructuring matters.

 

He acts and/or advises on matters relating to shareholders’ disputes, contractual disputes, judicial management, scheme of arrangement, corporate voluntary arrangement and employment matters.

Experience & Credentials

Anson’s recent notable experience includes:

• Advised and acted for a company to restructure its financial obligations in excess of RM1.9 billion by way of corporate voluntary arrangement, which was approved by the majority shareholders and creditors.

• Advised and acted for a financially distressed company to restructure its financial obligations of approximately RM185 million by way of judicial management.

• Advised and acted for a shareholder in defending an action premised on the allegations of fraud, fabrication of evidence and the alleged existence of an oral agreement.

• Advised and acted for a public listed company in undertaking a corporate exercise involving shares exchange and transfer of listing status by way of scheme of arrangement.

• Advised and successfully opposed a winding up petition premised on the allegation of dissipation of assets.
