Eolanda is a litigation partner with experience in civil, corporate and commercial, and employment law.
She has advised companies in various areas of civil and commercial disputes ranging from contractual disputes, regulatory and statutory compliance matters, intellectual property disputes (breach of confidence, misuse of confidential information, etc) shareholders’ disputes, judicial reviews, defamation and professional negligence claims.
Eolanda regularly independently leads in trials and hearings at the Industrial Court, Subordinate Courts and the High Court. Eolanda also conducts appellate hearings.
Eolanda is proponent for the usage of technology to strengthen her client’s legal position in any cases she takes conduct of. She has represented both the applicant and responding party in execution of Anton Piller orders related to claims of misappropriation of funds, misuse of confidential information, etc.

Experience & Credentials
Among the matters Eolanda has been involved in include as follows:
- Acted as co-counsel at the Court of Appeal and Federal Court representing a multinational tech company in a dispute related to breach of letter of credit by a bank, and breach of contract by the company’s purchaser.
- Acted as co-counsel at the Court of Appeal in a case related of professional negligence of an insurance broker that resulted in losses to a manufacturing company.
- Acted as counsel at the High Court and Court of Appeal related to a claim for unlawful termination of an employee of a multinational palm oil manufacturer.
- Acted as counsel at the High Court and Court of Appeal for a multinational technology in relation to an action for breach of contract in failing to purchase a minimum quantity of products.
- Acted as counsel at the High Court for management company in a claim related to the tort of nuisance filed by a few residents.
- Acted as co-counsel in a defamation suit filed by a developer against residents of a condominium complex for posting defamatory statements in publicly accessible areas of the condominium.
- Acted as counsel defending a joint executor in a claim for breach of fiduciary duties.
- Advised an outgoing key management personnel of a listed company in preparing a representation to be submitted to the Securities Commission. The key management personnel was later found to not be in breach of the Capital Market and Services Act 2007.
- Advised franchisees of numerous franchise brands in matters related to exiting franchise agreements.
- Acted as counsel for a local franchisor in a defamation suit resulting from press statements issued by its competitor and its competitor’s directors.
- Acted as counsel for numerous property developers in claims for damages related to alleged unrectified defects.
- Acted as co-counsel to defend a just and equitable winding up of a timber company.
- Acted as counsel for an engineering company to obtain and execute an Anton Piller Order against a competing company set up by previous employees of the said engineering company, in a claim related to breach of confidential information and breach of fiduciary duties.
- Advised a government linked company on the termination and re-negotiation of terms with sub-contractors following the conduct of internal investigation by said government linked company.
- Acted as counsel for local courier company in a claim for early termination of a reseller agreement.
Qualifications
Eolanda graduated from Multimedia University with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) in 2010. She was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2011. Eolanda is also a Certified Digital Forensics First Responder.
