Chia Rou regularly advises local and international financial institutions as well as borrowers on cross-border corporate, real estate, project, Islamic and acquisition financings. Her clients have included Standard Chartered Bank, Maybank, CIMB Bank, RHB Bank, Commonwealth Bank of Australia and the International Finance Corporation (IFC).

She also has experience in debt capital markets transactions, including advising principal advisers, lead arrangers and lead managers on the establishment of medium term note programmes and the issuance of notes by Malaysian listed companies. In addition, she advises on real estate transactions involving the sale and purchase of properties, including factories, machinery and direct developer-to-purchaser transfers.

Chia Rou graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) The University of the Sheffield (2016). She was admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2018.
