Lay Yee’s practice specialises in corporate & commercial litigation and professional negligence & liability.

She has acted in a variety of company and shareholder disputes, including oppression actions and breaches of directors’ fiduciary duty. She has also acted in contentious post winding up proceedings and receivership matters.

Her professional negligence experience includes defending negligence & breach of statutory duty in relation to various kind of accounting engagements, specifically, audit and capital market & services. She is also frequently engaged for advisory on matter concerning inspections by Audit Oversight Board of the Securities Commission Malaysia.

Qualifications

Lay Yee graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) Degree from University of Malaya, Malaysia. She was admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2015.
